Overview
Join the Builder Tools organization within Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Developer II, where you will be part of the Amazon Security Automated Patching team. This role involves owning and building every aspect of our products from the UI and external APIs down to the back end services and databases. You will be instrumental in helping Amazon’s massive developer community turn revolutionary ideas into code running on production servers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and reliable software systems.
- Work closely with other developers to design and implement features.
- Write clean, maintainable code that meets the coding standards of Amazon.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Review and debug code.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
