Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team as we continue to grow and transform our technology landscape. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to tackle intermediate engineering tasks and contribute to our innovative projects.
What You'll Do
- Perform Analysis and Design: Engage in analysis, design, development, and configuration functions. Define technical requirements for assignments of intermediate complexity.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Participate with the team to perform analysis, assessment, and resolution for defects and incidents of intermediate complexity. Escalate issues appropriately.
- Expand Technical Knowledge: Seek opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work within guidelines set by the team to independently tackle well-scoped problems. Communicate clearly and concisely with team members.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Three years of programming/development experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience with NodeJS, JavaScript (front-end framework), AWS, and Terraform is a plus. Experience working on CI/CD pipelines is also beneficial.
- Problem Solving: Proven problem-solving skills, including debugging skills, are essential.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and collaborate well with team members.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least one year of programming/development experience.
