About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the New User Experience team at Taxfix, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, scalable user-facing features. You will be part of a cross-functional team, crafting testing strategies and ensuring performant user experiences. Beyond your technical contributions, you will coach engineers on best practices and advocate for a strong technical culture across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management to achieve company and team goals.
- Contribute to technical direction and strategy to further the long-term product vision.
- Address unique frontend challenges to improve development speed and user experience.
- Create a great developer experience through effective tools and practices.
- Work closely with other platform and product teams in cross-functional settings.
- Be involved in key product decisions and work with the team to create intuitive and reliable apps.
- Mentor other engineers and support an environment that values development and growth.
Your Profile
- Over 5 years of experience with JavaScript, particularly React or other modern JS frameworks.
- Experience in building scalable services and well-structured front-end applications.
- Proficient in integrating with diverse APIs.
- Passionate about writing maintainable and elegant code.
- Experience with Git, GitHub/Gitlab, and CI/CD.
- Ability to work autonomously and overcome obstacles proactively.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
- Familiarity with backend concepts and technologies is a plus.
