Your Role

As a TypeScript Developer, you will be part of a dynamic product team of developers and data experts. You will primarily work on our software solution that helps companies measure, reduce, and report their carbon footprint. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of our technical stack, utilizing technologies such as AWS, SQL, Node.js, and Vue.js.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop with TypeScript: Write primarily in TypeScript, with Node.js as your preferred framework. Work with Vue.js when necessary.
• Database Management: Set up, maintain, and optimize databases, write queries, and ensure optimal structure for performance.
• APIs and Integrations: Develop and maintain APIs and integrate various software components.
• DevOps Support: Occasionally contribute to DevOps tasks and follow best practices for security.
• SaaS Solutions for Climate Impact: Work on software that helps companies manage and reduce their climate impact, focusing on sustainability.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience and Technical Expertise: 3-6 years of experience in back-end development, with a thorough knowledge of software engineering practices such as unit testing, code documentation, and version control.
• Web Technologies and Databases: Strong understanding of web technologies (JSON, OAuth) and database design concepts.
• Front-End Knowledge: Some experience with front-end technologies like Vue.js is a plus.
• Communication and Pragmatism: Communicate effectively, keep it simple, and understand how your work contributes to broader business goals.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English and Dutch, with bonus points for French.
• Passion for Sustainability: Affinity with climate challenges and a desire to work on projects with a positive impact.
