WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re actively seeking a Ventures Intern to champion the Plug and Play business model. An ideal candidate has a passion for understanding how startups scale and is driven to take an active role in building out our ecosystem and investment portfolio. Ventures Interns will support in sourcing relevant startups, assist deal teams on new investments and also work with corporate partners on their technology needs.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

• Sourcing New Startups

  • Source startups for the respective program.
  • Attend calls or meetings with relevant companies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local VCs, universities, corporations, etc.
  • Actively network with startup founders at industry events and conferences.

• Corporate Management

  • Schedule and facilitate deal flow meetings between startups and corporate partners.
  • Curate startup lists for corporate partners based on their technology interests.
  • Perform additional operational work for Plug and Play Ventures as needed.
  • Assist in tracking corporate involvement with high attention to detail.
  • Support the team in the design of new ways to increase corporate engagement.
  • Actively participate in the setup and help host workshops, deal flows and other events.

• Diligence/Investment Research

  • Support the deal team on investment opportunities.
  • Conduct high-level research; analyze the market, examine industry trends, track competitive landscapes, interact with financial models, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Currently studying or recently graduated with a degree in finance, economics, management or related fields. A university agreement for this internship is required. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively. Highly organized, shown to meet tight deadlines along with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Languages & Communication: fluent in French & English, other languages are a plus.
• Must possess communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be comfortable with public speaking.
• Self-Starter: ability to start projects or plan events with proactivity.
• A strong creative, multi-tasker, problem solver and out of the box thinker.
• Teamwork: proven ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, prospects and industry contacts and contribute towards high-impact results.
• Passion for technology: an individual with a passion for technology, entrepreneurship, investments, and high-tech startups.
• Project Management: ability to manage several ongoing projects with VCs, corporate partners, and startups.

This job requires in-person attendance, following a 3-day office attendance policy.
