Role Overview
As an Android Software Engineer in the Hardware stream, you will be part of a team dedicated to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Adyen's In-Person Payments hardware solutions. These solutions are deployed globally across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, travel, and entertainment. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to address aspects such as payment terminal user interfaces, firmware quality, and the integration of our payment terminals. Your work will empower our merchants to seamlessly and independently integrate with reliable products at scale and with rapid deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other engineers, product designers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and clearly understandable code.
- Identify and resolve issues over a full stack environment.
- Proactively bring great ideas to improve our solutions.
- Investigate new technical possibilities while working within existing frameworks.
- Manage and prioritize goals in a fast-paced environment.

Required Technical Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience writing code in Kotlin.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience building software for the Android platform.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice To Have Technical Qualifications
- Experience with AOSP and system apps.
- Knowledge about security best practices and standards.
- Familiarity with Hilt, Coroutines, and Flow.
