Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Payments team, you will be responsible for building and improving integrations at a global scale for both in-store and online payments. You will ensure that our merchants and partners have a seamless integration with the Adyen platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance payment solutions using Core Java, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Work on automation and improvement of internal processes with cross-functional teams.
- Define, implement, and monitor performance KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems.
- Collaborate with Product Designers and Frontend Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Focus on supporting merchants to frictionlessly accept recurring payments, including the safe storage and updating of shopper's payment instruments for recurring payments like subscriptions and one-click checkout.
Who You Are
- Experienced in Core Java, web services, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Enjoy working on automation and process improvement.
- Capable of defining and monitoring performance KPIs.
- Able to challenge the status quo and think about how businesses would benefit from your changes.
- Detail-oriented, precise, yet pragmatic in your approach.
- Experience with Gradle and CockroachDB is a plus.
