Android Engineer - Engineering Experience

About the Role

Join Vinted's Design System team, part of the Engineering Experience domain, as an Android Engineer. This cross-platform team is dedicated to building and shaping Vinted's design system across the company. The team focuses on frontend experience, contributing to Engineering Experience domain initiatives such as building observability tooling and a developer portal.

Key Responsibilities

Build and improve Vinted's design system by creating new components, patterns, icon and utils libraries, and documentation improvements for product teams.
Collaborate with the team to set the direction and vision of the design system.
Evangelize the design system to fellow engineers across the company.
Enhance the user experience for members and improve engineers' experience.
Utilize comprehensive testing methodologies, including unit tests, integration tests, snapshot tests, and UI tests.
Work with Native Android, Kotlin, and more.
Collaborate with other software engineers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.

About You

Eager to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
Deep understanding of key software engineering and Android-specific principles and technologies.
Good understanding of best UX practices.
Advantageous: Experience with UI/UX design.
Excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English, to promote collaboration across teams.
Familiarity with design system documentation.
Bonus: Experience in design systems, Jenkins pipelines, Docker, and Jetpack Compose.

Salary

The salary range for this position is €42,696 - €57,696 gross per year.
