Job Overview
Adyen is seeking an AML & Screening Insights Data Analyst to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is part of the First Line, focusing on supporting risk management and operational efficiency within the organization. The position requires a combination of strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Sanctions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Monitoring Frameworks: Create, optimize, and maintain detection methods and transaction monitoring scenarios in our Post-Event Transaction Monitoring Framework, aligning with the latest ML/TF typologies and other integrity risks.
- Deliver Insights: Provide insights through dashboards or reports addressing operational and regulatory challenges.
- Data Analysis: Analyze information using various tools to identify patterns, trends, and relationships, proposing appropriate solutions.
- Platform Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of how our global platform processes payments, onboards customers, stores customer data, and monitors transactions.
- Communication: Clearly communicate iterations, metrics, and developments to stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Commit to optimizing and documenting processes and workflows, scaling the platform to its next phase.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Compliance and AML Tech to deliver sophisticated solutions.
- Support and Guidance: Guide and support team members in decision-making using data and business intelligence tools.
Who You Are
- Experienced: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst in Sanctions Screening, KYC, or Transaction Monitoring.
- Technical Expert: Proficient in Python and SQL, with strong skills in BI tools like Looker. Experience with big data tools such as PySpark, Hadoop, and Airflow is essential.
- Financial Crime Warrior: Strong motivation to work in the Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist-Financing field.
- Effective Communicator: Capable of leading discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Manager: Able to manage high-stakes projects independently and efficiently.
- Curiosity-driven: Proactively seeks to understand the content and technology we work with.
