Infrastructure Developer at Adyen
Adyen is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Developer to join our Development Infrastructure team in Amsterdam. This role involves working on a distributed, real-time, 24/7 system with unique performance and security requirements. You will be responsible for developing CI/CD tooling and applications for the organization, automating processes, and advocating for CI/CD best practices.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop tooling, software, and systems that support a lean and efficient Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for our feature teams.
- Develop bespoke local or CI tooling, work on our software testing framework or environments, and design release pipelines and associated flows.
- Provide CI/CD "as-a-service" to the organization, developing the glue that binds code and infrastructure together.
Who You Are
- Programming Skills: You have 4+ years of experience in maintaining high availability systems built in multiple languages. Proficiency in Python or Golang is required, and Java knowledge is a plus. You should also be comfortable with bash scripting.
- Linux Background: You have 2+ years of strong experience working with Linux, particularly in building containers in ephemeral environments.
- CI/CD Tools: You have hands-on experience with writing and maintaining GitLab and Jenkins pipelines.
- Containerization: You are familiar with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code: You have knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet for system configuration and automation.
- Building and Automating: You have a proven track record in developing CI/CD tooling and applications, automating legacy processes to meet modern development standards.
- Diagnostic Skills: You are capable of diagnosing problems effectively and making quick, informed decisions.
- Mindset: You maintain composure but work with urgency during incidents, ensuring performance standards.
