• Champion Automation and Scalability: Spearhead efforts to automate and scale our platform's critical components, ensuring efficiency and resilience.
• Influence Key Architectural Decisions: Be at the heart of key architectural decisions that will shape the future of our platform.
• Master Complex Problem Solving: Lead the charge in solving challenging technical issues, from initial discovery to thorough post-mortem analysis.
• Lead Continuous Improvement: Enhance our incident management and on-call processes, setting new standards for excellence.
• Become an Observability Guru: Enhance the observability of our production systems, driving improvements in alerting mechanisms and SLOs.

Who You Are

• Deep Expertise in SRE Practices: Well-versed in advanced SRE methodologies, including defining and managing SLOs, optimizing error budgets, incident management, and minimizing toil.
• Expertise in Container Technology: Managed containers at scale in production environments for at least 4 years.
• Large-Scale Distributed Systems Experience: Proven track record in building, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Comprehensive Technical Foundation: Expertise spans from networking and infrastructure to services and databases.
• Programming and Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or bash.
• Infrastructure as Code Advocate: Deep understanding of IaC and experience with tools like Puppet and Ansible.
• Scalable and Sustainable Solutions Mindset: Approach challenges with a long-term perspective.
• Problem Solver at Heart: Systematic and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
• Calculated Risk Taker: Comfortable taking calculated risks and learning from failures.
• Engineering Teams as Your Clients: Empower other engineering teams to build, operate, and maintain reliable, scalable services.
