About the Role
As an API Architect at Sanofi, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing API solutions that are crucial for the digital transformation of our Consumer Healthcare (CHC) division. This role involves leading the design of our API ecosystem, ensuring it aligns with our business goals and adheres to the best practices in API management.
Responsibilities
- Lead API Integration: Design and implement API-first integration solutions to support key CHC programs, ensuring the platforms and interfaces are fit for purpose.
- Establish Standards: Develop API design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality API implementations.
- System Performance and Security: Design architectures that optimize system performance and ensure robust security using protocols like OAuth, JWT, and TLS.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to understand integration requirements and develop appropriate API solutions.
- API Governance: Implement and enforce API governance policies and procedures to maintain high standards across all API implementations.
- Promote Reusability: Develop and maintain integration patterns and templates to promote the reusability of standard components across projects.
- Innovation and Transformation: Drive innovation and support organizational transformation through strategic API integrations and technology solutions.
About You
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in API design and development, with a strong background in RESTful, SOAP, and GraphQL standards.
- Skills: Proficient in integration frameworks, API standards, and data engineering best practices. Experience with API management platforms like Microsoft, IBM, Kong, or similar is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work in a global, matrixed environment, and a drive for innovation.
