Backend Software Developer (Ruby on Rails, Remote)

Job Overview

Xometry Europe is seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our expanding IT team. This role is pivotal in supporting our platform development efforts. Our core tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, and GraphQL. The position offers the flexibility of remote work or a hybrid setup in Germany, specifically in Munich or Leipzig.

Responsibilities

Core Platform Development: Work primarily with Ruby on Rails to develop and enhance our platform.
Feature Ownership: Engage in high-level tasks, investigate solutions, implement, and deploy features. This involves active participation in product decisions, architecture, and feature design.
Collaboration: Work closely with a team of 50+ tech professionals in Europe, contributing to the development of our ERP system, customer and partner interfaces, and more.

Required Skills

Backend Development: Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and associated technologies such as PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Redis, and Linux.
Programming: Proficiency in Git and general software development practices.
Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with sufficient English proficiency for an international work environment.
Python: Experience with Python is advantageous as we use it for minor microservices and scripts.
