Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Reflex, a company dedicated to developing an open-source, full-stack Python framework. This role is based in our San Francisco office, where you will work on-site from Monday to Friday. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be working on a very early product in a rapidly evolving codebase, contributing to both our hosting service and open-source project.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and Improve Open-Source Project: You will be responsible for enhancing our open-source project, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
- Feature Development for Hosting Service: Work on various features of our hosting service, including authentication, payments, and database management.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on improving performance, reducing deployment times, and ensuring efficient operation of our services.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in the Reflex community by seeking feedback, integrating contributions, and fostering positive and collaborative relationships.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ Years of Software Engineering Experience: Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in Python: Deep understanding of Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Experience with AWS and Docker: Familiarity with AWS services and Docker for containerization.
- Authentication and Payments: Experience setting up authentication, payments, and authorization in previous roles.
- Open Source Contribution: A background in contributing to open-source software, competitive programming, or interesting side projects is highly desirable.
