About the Project
The TUM Blockchain Club is seeking a talented Blockchain Developer to join our innovative team in Munich. This role is part of our exciting "Solana Beach: Fast Stake Shift Project," which aims to develop a layer on top of Solana’s native staking to enable shifting stakes in just one transaction. This project addresses the current limitations in Solana's native staking, providing the flexibility users demand as more validators offer temporal benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Conceptual Architecture: Work closely with the team to outline the architecture for the new staking layer.
- Implement Prototype on Solana: Utilize your expertise in Rust to develop a prototype that integrates seamlessly with Solana's ecosystem.
- Testing and Feedback: Engage with a feedback group from the Solana ecosystem to test and refine the prototype.
- Present Results: Showcase your work during midterm and end presentations, potentially sharing insights on platforms like X/Twitter.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Rust: Strong command of Rust programming is essential for this role.
- Blockchain Programming Model: Familiarity with compute-restricted environments where everything must be triggered by a transaction.
- Solana Programming Model: Understanding of how accounts and transactions are structured within Solana.
Soft Skills
- Familiarity with Solana: General knowledge of Solana and specific understanding of the stake program.
How to Prepare
- Study Solana Documentation: Familiarize yourself with the core concepts by reviewing docs.solana.com and writing sample programs.
Commitment
- Team Size: Work alongside 2-3 other students.
- Work Hours: Commit to 15 hours per week for a duration of 3 months.
- Start Date: The project begins on 18.10.2024.
