Job Overview
Join Status as a Rust Engineer with P2P Experience and become a part of a movement supporting the development of the decentralized web. You will work on Logos, a technology stack that lays the foundation for a freer internet, empowering communities to evolve into network states. This role is a hybrid of engineering and applied research, focusing on implementing and designing new protocol solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering and Research: Implement specifications developed during research and contribute to the design of new protocol solutions.
- Distributed Systems: Design, specify, verify, and build distributed systems using formal and experimental techniques.
- Prototyping: Build proof of concepts and prepare executable specifications for the development team.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct theoretical and practical analysis of distributed systems' performance and present research results.
Required Skills
- Rust Programming: Must have strong coding experience in Rust.
- Distributed Systems: Research experience, ideally in Byzantine settings.
- Computer Science and Math: Strong background in these areas.
- Communication: Ability to share work in various contexts, including presentations.
- Interest in Privacy and Open Protocols: Strong interest in privacy, censorship-resistant technology, and open protocols.
Bonus Points
- Experience with open-source organizations.
- Knowledge of cryptography.
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Solid knowledge of mathematics, especially probability and statistics.
- Track record of scientific publications.
