Your Mission

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Engineering department, which consists of approximately 50 professionals across backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA & test automation. As CTO, you will be responsible for the overall technology strategy and execution of our SaaS scale-up. Your role will involve:

• Leading and mentoring the Engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Ensuring our platform architecture supports scalability and flexibility, while managing cloud infrastructure, security, and operational stability.
• Ensuring all products meet necessary security and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on privacy and data protection.
• Developing and executing a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Overseeing the development of our SaaS platform, working closely with Product Management to deliver scalable, innovative features.
• Collaborating with Project Management to implement Agile methodologies and best practices.
• Staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a leadership role within the Engineering department of a SaaS organization.
• Proven track record in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment.
• Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development methodologies.
• Technical expertise in Backend (Ruby/RoR, Node.js, PHP) and Frontend (JavaScript, Vue.js, React).
• Experience with databases, API development, cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong soft skills, including aligning technical strategies with business goals and effective communication with stakeholders.

Location

At iubenda, we embrace full-remote work. You are free to work from anywhere in the world. Alternatively, you can choose to work from our offices in Milan, Bologna, Berlin, or Hamburg, allowing for a hybrid work model.
