Cloud DevOps Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing and optimising our cloud-based infrastructure as well as on-prem infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate has extensive IT knowledge, experience with cloud technologies, and an understanding of the unique needs of the CGI/GenAI creative production industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure and services.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud-based and on-prem systems.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud services.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with other members of Production IT as well as users from production teams to understand and meet their needs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members on cloud-based tools and practices.
• Document and maintain comprehensive records of cloud infrastructure and workflows.

About You

The essentials:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or similar IT role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerisation platforms (like Docker) and orchestration systems (like Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (like Python).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

Not a Must, But a Plus:

• Certification in cloud technologies.
• Understanding of the unique demands of the CGI/GenAI creative production industry.
