The Role: Senior DevOps Engineer
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at roadsurfer, you will play a crucial role in managing and scaling our application deployments on AWS. Your responsibilities will include:
- System Management: Ensuring robust management and scaling of application deployments in AWS.
- CI/CD Optimization: Working closely with development teams to optimize the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline.
- Advanced Monitoring: Enhancing system monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpsGenie.
- Infrastructure as Code: Utilizing Terraform and similar tools to manage infrastructure efficiently.
- Collaboration and Evangelism: Promoting the DevOps mindset across software development, testing, and product management teams.
What You Need to Succeed
- Extensive experience with AWS, including cost management.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and its ecosystem, including Docker.
- Experience with Terraform or similar IAC tools.
- Strong understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, and OpsGenie for effective application monitoring.
- Solid background in networking and Unix environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD servers like Jenkins and version control systems, ideally Git and GitHub.
- Passion for discussing technical concepts, architecture, and security.
- Excellent English communication skills.
