About the Role
Kantar’s Worldpanel division is seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lisbon, Portugal. This role is pivotal in delivering a critical global big data platform using cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Terraform. You will contribute significantly to the platform's implementation and future trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Code Delivery: Deliver tested, high-quality code while adhering to coding standards.
- Automation Testing: Build and maintain automation test suites within Azure DevOps.
- Manual Testing: Perform manual, load, and exploratory testing as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts and Senior Data Engineers to meet sprint goals.
- Estimation: Assist in estimating tasks and stories on a sprint-by-sprint basis.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-3 years in Data Engineering roles with proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Apache Spark.
- Cloud Services: Experience with a cloud services platform, preferably MS Azure.
- ETL: Comfortable working with ETL data pipelines handling large volumes of data.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile Methodologies (SCRUM/KANBAN) is appreciated.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to connect with partners at all levels.
