Join Our Team as a Founding Engineer
We are a fast-growing voice AI testing company, Hamming AI, based in San Francisco. Our mission is to provide automated testing and monitoring for AI voice agents. We are experiencing rapid growth, having increased our revenue eightfold last month, and are now seeking a founding engineer to help us accelerate our success.
What You'll Do
As a founding engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling our products. Your responsibilities will include:
- 0 to 1 Product Development: Rapidly develop new products that enhance the reliability of our customers' voice agents. Our customers are eager for new features, and we need your expertise to meet this demand.
- Scaling for Growth: Optimize and scale our current products and infrastructure to support 100x growth. This involves automating processes that are currently manual.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a power user of tools like Cursor and Zed, and has experience with code-generation tools before they became mainstream.
- Has a deep understanding of the capabilities of current-generation LLMs and can anticipate future developments.
- Is adept at both rapid prototyping and thoughtful about long-term scalability of technical decisions.
- Is committed to working closely with customers to iterate quickly and solve their problems.
- Thinks independently and is willing to do whatever it takes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Is passionate about making AI voice agents reliable.
- Has experience shipping production LLM applications.
- Has built real-time systems at scale in industries such as Telecom/Networking, Autonomous Vehicles, or high-frequency trading.
- Has hands-on expertise with distributed systems, orchestration, monitoring, and analytics.
Bonus Points
- Experience founding a company or building products at early stages.
- Fluent in model-based evaluations, observability, and prompt optimization work like DSPy.
- Experience building AI voice applications.
