About the Role

The Supply and Demand (S&D) team is building a data product that provides a comprehensive picture of the commodities supply value chain. The product is a cornerstone of Kpler's portfolio as it provides a deep understanding of market dynamics at a country level. The team is operating a complex data pipeline that pulls data from external sources, normalizes, transforms, and finally publishes to various channels (from web UI, mobile to various APIs). The team is currently scaling the S&D product by adding new types of commodities and reworking the data pipeline to make it faster, more flexible, and more robust.

Your Mission

• Contribute to the roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners and peer engineers.
• Design and implement APIs, user interfaces, and other publication channels.
• Design and implement data pipelines.
• Contribute to the documentation, ensuring it is relevant and up to date.
• Share your expertise with team members, providing help and guidance when needed.

You'll Be a Match If You

• Have at least 4 years of experience as a full stack developer, including hands-on experience with Python, Postgres, NextJS, and VueJS.
• Understand and commit to software craftsmanship principles.
• Can design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Can design and implement relevant and responsive user interfaces.

It Will Be Even Better If You Have

• Experience designing data pipelines, especially using Python and Airflow.
• Experience with cloud engineering and IaS tools (Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to messaging middleware.
