Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Quora is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team working on Poe, our innovative AI product. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from various countries around the world. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to build cutting-edge features from scratch, focusing on enhancing the bot ecosystem and supporting bot creators on the platform.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, data scientists, QA, and other engineers to deliver experiences and products for bot creators.
Design, build, and maintain external developer APIs.
Work closely with LLM providers and create tools and infrastructure to enable the integration of new LLMs on Poe.
Quickly iterate on projects, from ideation to launch, using the full web technology stack.
Champion user experience and sustainable, scalable code practices.

Minimum Requirements

Availability for meetings and communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
5+ years of experience working with large-scale codebases and systems, particularly web applications.
3+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
3+ years of experience in Python or a similar programming language.
A passion for learning and improving yourself and the team around you.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements

Passion for Poe and Quora's products and mission.
Interest in API design, the developer ecosystem, and overall developer experience.
Commitment to code quality and designing elegant systems.

Salary

For US-based applicants, the salary range is $147,200 - $232,750 USD + equity + benefits. For Canada-based applicants, the salary range is $151,345 - $239,304 CAD + equity + benefits.
