Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Quora is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team working on Poe, our innovative AI product. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from various countries around the world. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to build cutting-edge features from scratch, focusing on enhancing the bot ecosystem and supporting bot creators on the platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, data scientists, QA, and other engineers to deliver experiences and products for bot creators.
• Design, build, and maintain external developer APIs.
• Work closely with LLM providers and create tools and infrastructure to enable the integration of new LLMs on Poe.
• Quickly iterate on projects, from ideation to launch, using the full web technology stack.
• Champion user experience and sustainable, scalable code practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Availability for meetings and communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale codebases and systems, particularly web applications.
• 3+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• 3+ years of experience in Python or a similar programming language.
• A passion for learning and improving yourself and the team around you.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Passion for Poe and Quora's products and mission.
• Interest in API design, the developer ecosystem, and overall developer experience.
• Commitment to code quality and designing elegant systems.

Salary

For US-based applicants, the salary range is $147,200 - $232,750 USD + equity + benefits. For Canada-based applicants, the salary range is $151,345 - $239,304 CAD + equity + benefits.
