Job Description
Join Roland Berger's Paris office as an Intern Data Scientist and become a part of our dynamic Data team. You will assist consultants on various projects and engage in internal R&D topics. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and gain valuable experience in data science and consulting.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Gather data from various sources such as web scraping, databases, and web services.
- Data Cleaning and Enrichment: Prepare and enhance data for analysis.
- Descriptive Analysis: Perform descriptive analysis on large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Semantic and Sentiment Analysis: Analyze text data to understand sentiment and semantics.
- Machine Learning Model Development: Develop both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
- Geographical Analysis: Conduct spatial data analysis.
- Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data to communicate findings effectively.
- Architecture and Modeling: Design and model data architectures.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
- Experience: Personal or professional experience in data analysis and programming.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong statistical skills, including regression models and hypothesis testing.
- Knowledge of data analysis languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Understanding of Big Data ecosystems like Hadoop and Spark.
- Experience with machine learning models.
- Consulting Experience: Previous experience in consulting is advantageous.
