Overview
INTERPOL, the world’s largest police organization, is seeking a Data Scientist for its Data Fusion Center in Lyon, France. This role is crucial for enhancing our capabilities in combating transnational crime through advanced data analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data mining and analytics solutions to support crime investigations.
- Collaborate with international teams to integrate diverse data sources and provide actionable insights.
- Design and maintain predictive models for crime forecasting and trend analysis.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods to analyze complex datasets.
- Prepare and present findings to senior management and international stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data mining, deep learning, and predictive analytics.
- Strong experience with data analytics tools and software, including Pandas.
- Expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and data visualization techniques.
- Solid understanding of statistical data analysis and its applications in a law enforcement context.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful data science projects in a professional setting.
- Experience in law enforcement or a related field is a plus.
Additional Information
- This is a project-based, fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, with no expectation of renewal.
- The position requires obtaining security clearances.
