Junior Software Engineer

Overview

Join Mastercard, a global technology company in the payments industry, as a Junior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be part of the Mastercard Authentication Program, which is responsible for developing and delivering top-notch authentication products for e-commerce transactional use cases. These products include ID Check, Token Authentication Service, and Token Authentication Framework, which are crucial for driving product uptake and revenue for Mastercard.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will:

Estimate and own delivery tasks, including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation, to meet business requirements.
Report status and manage risks within your primary application/service.
Perform demos and acceptance discussions with Product Owners.
Drive the adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks.
Review coding, testing, and automation work of team members.
Seek knowledge within your Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns, libraries, and practices to enhance productivity.

Qualifications

You should apply if you have:

A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Basic experience using Java.
Basic experience conducting unit and component tests (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new things.
A team player mindset.
