Overview
Mastercard's EU Open Banking platform engineering team is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to spearhead the deployment and support of our cloud strategy and platform. This role is pivotal in implementing cloud-native solutions with a focus on security, sustainability, scalability, and high availability.
Responsibilities
- Implement cloud-native solutions considering security, sustainability, scalability, and high availability.
- Partner with SRE, platform engineering, distributed systems, and architecture teams to support and execute our cloud platform based in Kubernetes.
- Manage AWS networking, VPC, direct connects, and transit gateways.
- Administer Kubernetes clusters and the CNCF components within.
- Define our cloud strategy and roadmap for our platform.
Qualifications
- Expertise in AWS, ideally with advanced knowledge in AWS networking.
- Experience managing large Kubernetes clusters using kOPS, EKS, or Rancher.
- Advanced experience in delivering secure solutions in Cloud Native environments.
- Intermediate experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Intermediate to beginning experience with programming in languages such as Golang, Node.js, or Python.
- Experience working within Git flows, standard development practices, and CI/CD systems.

- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
