Position Overview
Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin is expanding, and we are looking for a Senior UI and Fullstack Engineer to join our Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) team. This role is crucial as TF&L is a key revenue generator, heavily reliant on our IT platform. Our in-house IT team has successfully designed and implemented a strategic platform for TF&L, and we are now aiming to enhance our architecture further.
About the Job
You will be primarily responsible for developing new user interfaces, a UI kit, and a design system for both external clients and internal users. This involves participating in the technological transformation of one of the bank's most significant business areas.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic UI and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions.
- Work within the UI core platform team to create a reusable UI kit and design system across the organization.
- Maintain and support existing UI and BFF solutions, ensuring optimal performance and resolving issues related to UI bugs, compatibility, connectivity, and BFF behavior.
- Uphold a high standard of aesthetics for all user interfaces, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Extensive experience in Software Engineering, particularly in UI and Fullstack roles.
- Proficient in Web UI technologies including TypeScript, CSS, HTML/DOM, and Browser functionalities.
- Strong understanding of network protocols such as HTTP and WebSockets.
- Experience with BFF topics like APIs, data virtualization, and authentication.
- Previous work on organization-level UI kits and design systems is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively in a global team setting.
