Position Overview
Join Deutsche Bank's Online Tribe as a Lead Backend Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and operating services and APIs for Online & Mobile banking. This position is crucial in the domain of Customer Identity and Access Management, ensuring the highest standards of application availability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and operation of services and APIs for Online & Mobile banking, focusing on Customer Identity and Access Management.
- Act as a knowledge and skill multiplier, leading by example and enabling colleagues across teams.
- Build and run reliable, secure, and maintainable services that are highly relevant for our customers.
- Plan and develop entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals.
- Review engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive professional experience and expert knowledge in Service Engineering with Java or JavaScript.
- Experience with Forgerock AM is highly welcome but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in developing highly available, load-resistant, and well-tested web applications.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub and GitLab, and patterns for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning and testing using Terraform/TerraGrunt.
- Expert knowledge of Node.js, Quarkus, Spring Boot, REST, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and native Kubernetes operations.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as the EFK stack and Stackdriver.
- Passion for learning and applying new technologies in a constantly evolving web environment.
- Experience in agile delivery teams, pair programming, and regular code reviews.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong independence and initiative.
- Experience in coaching junior Service Engineers and participating in the continuous development of colleagues.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
