Role Overview
As a Lead Software Engineer at Stride, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our product to support tens of thousands more students and partnering with numerous alternative education providers. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, spec'ing out stories, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Develop and maintain a full-stack web application using Python, TypeScript, and various frameworks such as React, NextJS, and Django.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Engage directly with stakeholders across departments to ensure our solutions meet user needs.
- Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring high system availability through robust infrastructure and proactive monitoring.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a SaaS startup environment.
- Strong expertise in full-stack development, including front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies.
- Proficient in modern DevOps practices and tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
