Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Proximus Ada, you will play a pivotal role in developing comprehensive solutions for AI use cases. You will be involved from the initial stages of defining and scoping business problems to selecting the appropriate machine learning solutions and technologies. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the implementation, integration, and deployment of these solutions into production environments, all while adhering to internal governance processes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop AI Applications: Utilize state-of-the-art AI technologies to create applications that meet business needs.
Translate Business Requests: Work closely with business units to translate their requests into AI applications.
Data Exploration and Visualization: Identify high-value use cases through thorough data exploration and visualization.
Prototype Development: Pilot prototypes in production processes to demonstrate their value.
Deployment: Collaborate with IT to deploy prototypes into production, ensuring they are reliable and scalable.
Presentation and Collaboration: Present results clearly and collaborate with multi-functional project teams, including business experts and IT professionals.

Required Qualifications

Education: PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a business environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and its AI ecosystem.
- Strong knowledge of AI and statistical methods.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with LLMs and libraries like Langchain and Llamaindex.
- Experience in the end-to-end AI project lifecycle, including data requirements, use case identification, solution development, and deployment.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices and containerized deployment is a plus.
