Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Proximus Group, you will play a pivotal role in developing end-to-end solutions for AI use cases. You will be involved from the initial stages of defining and scoping the problem, selecting the appropriate machine learning solutions and technologies, to implementing, integrating, and deploying your solutions into production. Your work will ensure that internal governance processes and best practices are adhered to, while also collaborating with team members to share knowledge and continuously improve our methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI Applications: Utilize state-of-the-art AI technology to create applications that meet business needs.
• Translate Business Requests: Work closely with business experts to translate their requests into AI applications.
• Data Exploration and Visualization: Identify high-value use cases through thorough data exploration and visualization.
• Prototype and Production: Pilot prototypes in production processes to demonstrate their value and deploy them with IT support to ensure reliable, scalable systems.
• Present Results: Clearly present your results and discuss them with multi-functional project teams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business experts for requirement gathering, data source identification, and feature engineering, as well as with IT for ETL and deployment to production.

Required Qualifications

• Education: PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a business environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and its AI ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of AI and statistical methods.
  • Experience with cloud technology, particularly Azure.
  • Familiarity with LLMs and libraries like Langchain and Llamaindex.
  • Experience with the end-to-end AI project lifecycle, including data requirements, feature engineering, model fitting, and deploying scalable AI applications.
  • MLOps practices, such as orchestration with Airflow and Gitlab CI/CD, and containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, are a plus.
