Job Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist at Cognizant, you will be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing generative AI models and natural language processing (NLP) solutions. This role involves building solution accelerators aligned to current business needs and defined use cases. You will assist in the development and deployment of advanced generative models to production, optimizing and fine-tuning existing LLMs/generative models through iterative prompt engineering for improved performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop LLMOps/CI-CD pipeline for timely deployment of new features and updates.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into effective generative AI solutions.
- Drive research initiatives to explore cutting-edge advancements in generative AI.
- Evaluate and integrate relevant AI technologies, assessing their impact on project objectives.
- Document models, algorithms, and implementation processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Skills Required
- Experience in data extraction/transformation techniques using OCRs, website crawlers, and document extractors from websites, social media platforms, PDFs, images, etc.
- Strong foundation in NLP, with robust knowledge of Large Language Models (LLM) and Small Language Models (SLM).
- In-depth understanding of RAG (Vector DB, Knowledge Graph) architecture and Agent Based Framework.
- Proficient in prompt engineering techniques (Zero-shot prompting, Chain-of-thought prompts, Contextual augmentation, Human-in-the-loop).
- Understanding of foundational deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch, huggingface, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud AI/Cognitive services (preferably Azure) for text/audio/image/video modalities.
- Proficiency in Python, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), API development (Fast/Rest), PySpark, and Git.
- Nice to have experience in low code UI platform like Streamlit, Gradio, Chainlit for quick POCs.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
