Senior Machine Learning Scientist
Adyen is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing production-ready machine learning solutions that power our data products. You will be at the intersection of algorithms, mathematics, and engineering, solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research and Development: Design, implement, train, deploy, and monitor machine learning algorithms for both batch prediction and real-time applications. This includes systems for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), real-time anomaly detection, online learning algorithms, clustering, and more.
- Pipeline Development: Create orchestrated pipelines for analytical purposes and machine learning training, contributing to automation efforts for experiments, training runs, and monitoring.
- Collaboration: Work closely with MLOps to enhance our machine learning tooling and collaborate with various stakeholders to communicate complex outcomes effectively.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest research in machine learning and apply new techniques to improve our algorithms.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years as a machine learning or data scientist with experience in the full machine learning model lifecycle.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in big data frameworks, software engineering practices, and MLOps principles. Familiarity with tools like PySpark, SQL, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, XGBoost/LightGBM, Pandas, MLFlow, and Airflow.
- Mindset: An experimental approach with a focus on launching fast and iterating. Experience in designing and running experiments is essential.
- Leadership: Ability to lead projects from ideation to deployment and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
