About the Role

As a Senior NLP/LLM Data Scientist at ING, you will be part of the COO Analytics Tribe, focusing on applying advanced analytics and Generative AI solutions for the Financial Crime domain globally, as well as customer center analytics. You will work collaboratively with a broad group of stakeholders, including global and local CCA units, to define and develop innovative and scalable solutions in the area of Contact Center Analytics (CCA).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions using Generative AI and LLM technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize your solutions.
• Utilize cutting-edge frameworks and technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models.
• Follow best practices in developing ML code and ML software tests.
• Assist model users in understanding data science principles and explain model behavior when needed.
• Contribute to strengthening the analytical capability within the team.
• Actively learn about our domain, engage with stakeholders, and tell captivating stories with data.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a similar domain, preferably in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, or Machine Learning.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building NLP or Information Retrieval pipelines and models.
• Experience with operationalization of LLMs or Generative AI applications.
• In-depth understanding of algorithms like Conditional Random Fields, Transformers, Recurrent Neural Networks, and Convolutional Neural Networks.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience in delivering production-grade code.
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at the technical and business level.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum way of working.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience applying NLP in the banking domain.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with CI/CD for Machine Learning pipeline (CD4ML).
