About the Role
Join DPG Media as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in our Recommendation & Search Area, where we focus on personalized content recommendations and search. Our mission is to enhance the relevance of our digital products by delivering the content our customers desire, whenever and wherever they want it. As part of our team, you will develop and maintain APIs that power our News and Video platforms, serving millions of recommendations daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and Extend Back-end Systems: Work on our recommendation back-end, ensuring it meets the needs of our platforms.
- Skill Development: Grow your expertise in Machine Learning and Software Engineering with support from your team and company resources.
- Innovative Brainstorming: Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance our back-end and algorithms.
- AB Testing: Design, develop, run, and evaluate online AB-tests to improve our services.
- Operational Excellence: Engage in practices like code review and pair programming to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Service Operations: Monitor applications and infrastructure, intervening to resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of developments in Recommendations and Machine Learning.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Hands-on experience in Machine Learning.
- Statistical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic concepts in statistics and probability theory.
- Interest in Digital Media: A natural interest in digital media products.
