Join Our Team as a Senior Full Stack Developer
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Product Management organization. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital technologies that solve complex real-world problems.
What You Will Do
As a Full Stack Developer, you will:
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and product teams to deliver impactful user experiences.
- Design reliable, scalable, and performant end-to-end architectures, including functional, data, technology, and infrastructure components.
- Work closely with agile project teams on the design, development, and management of digital products and services, from early conceptual definition through launch and adoption.
- Develop front-end website architecture and design user interactions on web pages.
- Utilize multiple back-end languages such as C#, Java, and Python, and JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, React, and Node.js.
- Work with databases like MySQL, Oracle, and Redshift, and web servers such as Apache.
- Implement UI/UX design principles and ensure web application security.
- Engage in DevOps practices and work within an Agile development team on sprint definition, backlog prioritization, and release of Minimum Viable Products.
- Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
- Design and develop APIs that meet both technical and consumer needs.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in digital technology and/or product development; OR an Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to certain systems/tools.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in writing clean, modular, readable, and testable Java code.
- Strong knowledge of the Spring Boot framework and REST API principles.
- Experience building Microservices and with CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agile software delivery practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
