Overview
Plaid is a pioneering technology platform at the forefront of the financial technology industry, helping to revolutionize the way people interact with their finances. We are looking for a Mid-Senior Software Engineer to join our Credit team, dedicated to building the next generation of Credit products that will transform the financial landscape.
Role Description
As a Mid-Senior Software Engineer in the Credit department, you will be involved in full-stack development, planning, designing, and building innovative credit solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Compliance, and Design to deliver impactful products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand product requirements and compliance constraints.
- Architect and develop scalable and efficient services, ensuring integration with well-designed user interfaces.
- Lead projects and be a trusted member of the team, contributing to on-call rotations and advocating for technical and process improvements.
- Engage with other engineering teams, Design, Data Science, and more to iterate on and productionize new products.
Qualifications
- Strong coding and testing skills.
- Experience in large scale backend systems.
- Leadership experience or the desire to quickly take on project leadership roles.
- Excellent communication skills are very nice to have.
- Experience with Python, Golang, SQL, and/or AWS is preferred.
