Job Overview
Join ING Nederland as a Senior Ops Engineer in the Competitive Pricing Area, part of the FM> Tribe. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic Operations Engineer with a solid background in the Financial Markets domain. You will be part of a dynamic and contemporary workplace, working closely with business users and other squads to provide end-to-end support for various customer journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, Support, and Run Services: Oversee services consisting of multiple components, ensuring performance, stability, and security.
- Incident and Change Management: Handle incidents and manage changes effectively.
- Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and implement solutions.
- IT Risk & Security: Implement and document IT risk and security controls in line with ING's Information Security Management Policy.
- Continuous Deployment and Delivery: Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous deployment and delivery.
- Technical Architecture: Collaborate with other engineers to define and improve the technical architecture of applications.
- Agile/Scrum Collaboration: Work within an Agile/Scrum framework to bring new features to production.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: 5+ years in software engineering/operations.
- CI/CD and DevOps: Advanced knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and Maven.
- Linux Expertise: Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or 8.
- Database Management: Familiarity with Oracle 12c/19c and PL/SQL.
- Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python.
- Standby Support: Willingness to be part of a standby schedule for support outside office hours.
- IT Risk Management: Understanding of IT risk and security management.
Nice to Have
- Containerization and Messaging: Familiarity with Docker, Tibco EMS, and MQ.
- Application Servers: Experience with JBoss and Tomcat.
- Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of monitoring tools like ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
