People Lead Software Engineering with Java, Spring, React, Vue

Your Role

Do you want to do more than just code, but still work hands-on? As a Senior Software Engineer (all genders), you will take on People Leadership responsibilities and be responsible for the development and operation of software in one of our projects following the "You build it, you run it" principle. We place great emphasis on TDD and Continuous Deployment and follow the DevSecOps approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary project team, where you not only develop software but also actively operate it.
• Define milestones for each iteration in close collaboration with the team and take responsibility for achieving them.
• Focus on writing high-quality code using technologies like Java, Spring, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React/Vue, depending on the project.
• Support and promote the development of other team members in your role as People Lead: You will take on disciplinary leadership responsibility for mentoring, coaching, and career development for up to four engineers, who may not necessarily work on the same project as you.
• Work closely with the product team to ensure that the software meets all security and data protection requirements.

Your Profile

• Extensive experience in software development and operation of complex systems.
• Comfortable with both backend and frontend technologies such as Java/Spring, JavaScript or TypeScript, and React or Vue, and eager to continuously learn.
• Have initial experience in People Leadership, mentoring, or coaching and aspire to disciplinary leadership responsibility.
• Familiar with DevOps topics and CI/CD, and comfortable with Infrastructure as Code.
• Prefer working in agile teams and value constructive discussions and regular feedback.
• Results-oriented with a strong intrinsic motivation to improve the digital aspects of administration.
• Comfortable communicating in German and English at least at B2 level.

Our compensation system is based on comparability, reliability, and fairness. The salary for this position is between €73,500 and €85,000 gross per year (full-time). For your individual placement within our salary bands and levels, we consider the scope of responsibility of the position, the complexity of the tasks, and the assessment of your skills from the introductory interviews.
