Job Description
Sony Pictures Television is seeking a Programming Intern for the Fall 2024 term in the Current Programming department. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment industry, working alongside a team of executives responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of television shows produced by the studio.
Responsibilities
- Rolling Calls: Learn the specific methods used in the creative community for managing calls.
- Note-taking on Calls: Gain exposure and experience in understanding the important aspects of creative discussions.
- Scheduling Meetings: Assist in organizing meetings with key leaders and producers in the creative and production industries.
- Updating Status Reports: Maintain and update status reports for all series.
- Shadowing Opportunities: Attend critical meetings such as development and production meetings, and shadow some of the shows.
Qualifications
- Passion and focus on scripted programming.
- Interest in the entertainment industry as a whole.
- Good eye for creative content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship.
- Previous experience at an agency or production company.
Internship Details
- Duration: September through December 13th, with flexible start and end dates based on school schedules.
- Hours: Part-time, 10-29 hours per week.
- Work Structure: Hybrid work structure may be available.
Compensation
- The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour.
