Join Intercom as a Mobile Engineer, Android
Intercom is seeking a talented Mobile Engineer specializing in Android to join our dynamic team in Dublin. As part of our mission to redefine customer service, you will play a crucial role in shaping and accelerating our mobile Messenger strategy. Our Android Messenger SDK is integrated into thousands of Android apps and used by millions of users, providing you with a unique opportunity to impact a vast audience.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on Mobile Strategy: Work closely with mobile engineers, product managers, designers, and full-stack web engineers to develop and execute our mobile strategy across all Intercom offerings.
- End-to-End Problem Solving: Own problems from start to finish, collaborating with design, product, backend engineers, and other Android and iOS engineers to deliver solutions that provide significant value to our customers.
- Technical Development: Develop technical plans and contribute to our technical architecture as we grow. You will help us build long-standing, well-tested, and reliable Android code.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards in our mobile SDK, leveraging our strong CI setup with extensive unit test coverage using JUnit, Robolectric, and UI tests with Espresso and Firebase.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years of experience building mobile products on Android.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, Android APIs, and design patterns. Experience with Android SDK development is a bonus.
- Collaboration: Ability to work directly with product teams and designers, delivering value to customers or users.
