Intercom is seeking a talented Mobile Engineer specializing in Android to join our dynamic team in Dublin. As part of our mission to redefine customer service, you will play a crucial role in shaping and accelerating our mobile Messenger strategy. Our Android Messenger SDK is integrated into thousands of Android apps and used by millions of users, providing you with a unique opportunity to impact a vast audience.

What You'll Do

Collaborate on Mobile Strategy: Work closely with mobile engineers, product managers, designers, and full-stack web engineers to develop and execute our mobile strategy across all Intercom offerings.
End-to-End Problem Solving: Own problems from start to finish, collaborating with design, product, backend engineers, and other Android and iOS engineers to deliver solutions that provide significant value to our customers.
Technical Development: Develop technical plans and contribute to our technical architecture as we grow. You will help us build long-standing, well-tested, and reliable Android code.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards in our mobile SDK, leveraging our strong CI setup with extensive unit test coverage using JUnit, Robolectric, and UI tests with Espresso and Firebase.

What We're Looking For

Experience: 3+ years of experience building mobile products on Android.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, Android APIs, and design patterns. Experience with Android SDK development is a bonus.
Collaboration: Ability to work directly with product teams and designers, delivering value to customers or users.
