About the Role
Trustana is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer (L5) to join our dynamic engineering team in Berlin. This role is pivotal in harnessing technology to empower users with data control, creating a seamless trade journey for buyers and suppliers. You will work on diverse projects including e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, and serverless microservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Development: Spearhead the development of REST/GraphQL web services and APIs for our B2B platform.
- Collaborate on Design: Work closely with the design and architecture teams to ensure scalability and high performance.
- Code Quality: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, optimized code and services.
- Service Planning: Participate in and guide service planning, performance tuning, and software analysis.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define feature specifications.
- Infrastructure Partnership: Partner with the infrastructure team to scale services and perform root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7-10 years of back-end experience in complex projects with familiarity in front-end technologies.
- Startup Environment: Proven experience in a startup environment.
- E-commerce Platforms: Significant experience in e-commerce platforms.
- Serverless Architecture: Experience with serverless architecture.
- Node.js Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Node.js.
- Database Expertise: Extensive experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Design Patterns: Strong knowledge of design patterns, microservices, and cloud deployment.
- API Knowledge: Deep understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Test-driven Development: Solid background in test-driven development.
- Cloud Stacks: Hands-on experience with AWS and other cloud stacks, including Docker.
- Web Security: Strong understanding of web security principles.
- LLMs: Experience with LLMs, and optimization of solutions using LLMs.
Location
This position is based in Berlin, Germany. Please note that we do not provide relocation assistance.
Salary
The salary for this position is up to 9,000 Euros per month.
Workplace Type
This is a hybrid role, allowing for a combination of on-site and off-site work.
