Position Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Trust & Safety team, you will be instrumental in protecting the Vinted community from malicious content and activity. This role involves writing elegant code, working on large-scale projects, and preparing our product for upcoming challenges to ensure a safe environment for our members.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cross-functional team to shape features that improve member experiences.
- Lead team and domain-level initiatives to create a safer environment.
- Transform large monoliths into smaller, component-based services.
- Collaborate on GitHub for pull requests and code reviews.
- Write unit tests with RSpec; our setup runs over 10,000 tests in about 5 minutes.
- See your code impact 80+ million users almost instantly with deployments straight to production.
- Work with technologies like Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and introduce new tools.
