Join HelloFresh as a Senior Backend Developer
HelloFresh is seeking a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our Inventory Management team in Berlin. As part of the Fulfillment domain within HelloTech, you will be instrumental in building tech solutions that support our business across all markets, focusing on box production and delivery to customers.
Role Overview
In this role, you will:
- Define and implement technical solutions for business problems, acting as a feature lead.
- Collaborate with neighboring teams to ensure a clear architecture and boundaries between tech teams, supporting autonomy.
- Communicate directly with business stakeholders and multiple tech teams supporting local markets.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of the services you develop, using DevOps practices and pair programming.
- Be an active, solution-oriented member of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams.
- Solve software problems that have visible risks, roadblocks, and constraints, such as legacy dependencies, data quality, compliance, and architecture or technology limitations.
Requirements
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Solid problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of a couple of programming languages, with experience in or willingness to learn Golang.
- Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, including proficiency in synchronous/asynchronous communication.
- Experience in end-to-end development processes, including unit, integration & functional testing, distributed architecture, application tuning/profiling, and continuous integration.
- An agile mindset with the ability to advocate for cross-functional collaboration.
- Passion for helping others grow through peer-to-peer mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions.
