Join Vinted as a Lead Backend Engineer
Vinted, the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe, is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to join our Help Experience team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the self-help and machine-help capabilities for our Vinted members, transforming user experiences and supporting our mission to make second-hand the first choice worldwide.
Your Role
As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will:
- Redesign the Help Centre: Play a crucial role in rewriting the first touchpoint for all Vinted users seeking support.
- Develop a Customer Support Chatbot: Collaborate with the team to create a scalable and effective chatbot to assist Vinted members.
- Utilize Cutting-Edge Technologies: Assess and implement the latest technologies to personalize user experiences, including AI, ML, and Search technologies.
- Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with other developers, participate in design deep dives, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Deploy and Monitor: Your code will impact over 100 million users, with deployments happening multiple times a day. Monitor your code using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, and Kibana.
About You
- Experience: Strong knowledge in multiple high-level programming languages, with profound expertise in Golang. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus.
- Tech Enthusiast: Excited to learn and master new technologies and concepts, with an interest in AI, LLM, chatbots, or search technology.
- Mentorship: Prior experience in mentoring engineers.
- Communication: Proficient in spoken and written English.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €88,700 - €119,900 gross per year.
