HelloFresh is seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our Planning and Purchasing team in Berlin. As part of the HelloTech global tech team, you will be instrumental in building state-of-the-art supply chain technology that enhances our procurement processes and improves customer experience.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Take Ownership: Lead the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of services using DevOps practices and pair programming.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional agile teams, including Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams.
- Mentor: Provide support and mentorship to colleagues, acting as an ambassador for software solutions.
- Solve Problems: Address software challenges with visible risks, roadblocks, and constraints, such as legacy dependencies and data quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in multiple programming languages and a willingness to learn JVM.
- Distributed Systems: Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems with synchronous/asynchronous communication.
- Development Process: Experience in end-to-end development processes, including testing, architecture tuning, and continuous integration.
- Agile Mindset: Ability to advocate for cross-functional collaboration and mentor team members.
