Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is pivotal in helping us shape a sustainable future by leveraging technology to optimize renewable energy generation and create a more intelligent grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Work on complex design challenges in the Spanish energy market, focusing on domain modeling and robust software development.
- Technical Problem Solving: Address technical challenges such as processing millions of smart meter readings daily and integrating data into machine learning pipelines.
- Innovation and Disruption: Contribute to disrupting the Spanish energy market by developing smarter technology solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a global team of engineers, UX experts, and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Our Technology Stack
- Server-Side: Primarily using Python, with Django and Django-REST-framework for web development.
- Client-Side: React, Redux, and SASS for web applications; native code or React Native for mobile apps.
- Infrastructure: Heavy use of AWS and the "Hashistack" (Packer, Consul, Terraform) for continuous deployment.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Strong background in Python and Django or equivalent web frameworks.
- Skills: Proficiency in domain modeling, HTTP, REST APIs, and writing fault-tolerant software.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul, React, and Redux.
- Mindset: A proactive problem solver who thrives on providing alternative opinions and challenging the status quo.
