Palm is a well-funded, early-stage fintech startup on a mission to guide the world’s money flows. As part of our founding team of treasurers, finance specialists, and engineers, you'll help build a world-class treasury management system for enterprises.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is looking for an impactful job where they can contribute to every single part of the product and company culture. You will be part of a team of five engineers with diverse engineering and cultural backgrounds, located in Amsterdam and Stockholm, mostly working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, build, and own new product features.
- Build the backend for our data-intensive web app.
- Integrate with third parties such as banks and ERPs.
- Improve reliability, observability, and performance of our systems.
- Write unit and integration tests.

- Database: PostgreSQL

- Version Control: Git
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Experience with SQL.
- Proactive and eager to learn new things.
- Ability to balance quality and speed of development.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- High sense of ownership.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Python or Golang.
- Experience with cloud deployments & writing Docker configurations.

Location
This position is remote, but candidates should be based in Amsterdam or Stockholm and open to mostly remote work.
