Job Overview
Join Meero as a Senior Backend Engineer and become a key player in our Platform Team. This team is dedicated to supporting various verticals by leveraging both existing and newly developed platform components. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our platform infrastructure, adhering to DevOps and SRE principles to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Create scalable and robust platforms to support our high-traffic services.
- API and Backend Systems: Implement and optimize APIs and backend systems to enhance application performance.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and technologies.
- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Define our operational excellence standards and shape the way Meero delivers software at scale.
Profile
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in platform engineering or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Python development; understanding of Java is a plus. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS; experience with GCP is a plus. Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Mindset: DevOps mindset with experience in developing resilient, scalable, and secure software.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; French is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
